Pastora Soler from Seville and Patricia Sosa from Argentina will get together to offer a memorable concert in which they will perform in a duet format, together with Orquesta Única conducted by maestro Edgar Ferrer, symphonic versions of their respective repertoires.
Pastora Soler celebrated the 25th anniversary of her career in 2020. During that time, she has published twelve studio albums, has shared projects and the stage with Alejandro Sanz, Raphael, Mónica Naranjo, Armando Manzanero, Malú, David Bustamante, Miguel Poveda and Sergio Dalma, and has won numerous prizes, including the prestigious Medal of Andalusia, the 2007 Golden Microphone given by the Federation of Radio and Television Associations, two Music Awards, four Dial Awards, 2008 Senate Women's Award and a nomination to the Latin Grammy Awards, amongst others.
Patricia Sosa is one the most popular and loved singers and songwriters of Argentina. She began her career in the late 1970s as a member of the band Nomady Soul, and later became the first frontwoman of a rock band as leader of La Torre. In 1990, she stood out as a soloist in different genres including pop, ballads, tango and folklore, leaving her rock woman mark in all of them. She has recorded with Gloria Estefan, Plácido Domingo, Caetano Veloso, Ricky Martin and Joan Manuel Serrat. In 2018, Chucho Valdés chose her to perform the songs from his album Once: Concierto para dos.
She has received countless awards and distinctions both for her artistic activity and for her work as a volunteer.
Únicos is a festival with an original series format in which the different musical genres are represented in symphonic version with their best performers. Each edition is held in some of the world’s most important halls and theatres. This year the Festival comes to Teatro Cervantes in a format specially designed for the occasion.
The Spanish company Canter Taja Producciones promotes musical shows in Spain, Miami, Chile and Puerto Rico, and through the Argentinian company Taja Producciones at Argentina’s most important venues, such as Teatro Colón, in both cases with the most prestigious artists.
Edgar Ferrer is a conductor, composer and arranger of popular music. Trained at the National and Manuel de Falla conservatories in Buenos Aires, he is currently the head of the latter’s Department of Orchestra Conducting. He has composed music for theatre, television and films, and is co-founder of the Piazzolla Conservatory Orchestra of Buenos Aires.
He has made the orchestral arrangements for the most important figures of popular Argentinian music and has worked with and for renowned artists such as José Cura José Cura, Joan Manuel Serrat, Joan Amargós, Luis Fonsi, Elena Roger, Gerardo Gardelín, Gaby Goldman, Valeria Lynch, Antonio Carmona, Miguel Poveda and Carlos Núñez. In 2021 he was awarded a Scholarship for Creation by the National Endowment for the Arts awarded for his work Triple concierto criollo.
