Two couples, who are friends, have been meeting every Thursday for dinner for more than twelve years. . Nicholas and Liza are at the restaurant, but their friends are not there. As the minutes go by, they start to worry about their friends mysterious and unusual delay. Why are they always late? What role do we have in their lives? Has the time come to show them our discontent? Are they really interested in us?
Los amigos de ellos dos reflects on how we perceive the place we occupy in present day society.
Daniel Veronese’s work represents one of the most relevant trajectories of the new Argentinian theatre that appeared following the military dictatorship (1976-1983). Dramaturge, theatre director, actor and puppeteer, he also makes his own musical and stage productions. In the last fifteen years, he has received about twenty-five awards, including, amongst others, the First National Dramaturgy Prize of Argentina and the Ibero-American Max, as well as numerous subsidies and grants for his work as director, author and generator of new performing trends, experimental work and contributions to theatre. His shows and works have been presented in more than one hundred cities in America, Europe and Asia.
