To continue celebrating Teatro Cervantes’ magnificent new Steinway Model D grand piano, the pianist Helge Antoni has prepared a programme to highlight the splendor of the repertoire for piano since its beginnings 300 years ago up to the present. A musical journey with the most beloved pieces, and other piano gems to be discovered, by Scarlatti, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Grieg, Satie, Albéniz, Turina, Falla and other major composers, albeit not as popular. Helge Antoni will present the pieces with personal anecdotes and commentaries.
Helge Antoni, exclusive Steinway artist, is a pianist greatly valued for his creative programmes and personal manner of connecting with his audience. He is frequently invited to recitals and as a soloist with well-known international orchestras in prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Salle Gaveau, Beethoven Saal, Kennedy Center and the Chicago Orchestra Hall. The journal Gramophone has highlighted his “interpretation of impressive beauty, with beautiful sounds and poetic phrasing”.
